Situated in a former Smithy at Teviothead in the Scottish Borders, The Johnnie Armstrong Gallery is a family run business specialising in the original research, design and manufacture of high quality precious metal jewellery and art bronzes, of which are available for purchase.
Teviothead is 9 miles South of Hawick on the A7, the historic tourist route to Edinburgh, off junction 44 of the M6 Motorway at Carlisle. The Gallery is open every day except Tuesdays, all year round, from 9am to 6pm. |

Much of the jewellery on display at Teviothead is historically themed and explores the indigenous folklore and mythology of Scotland and the North, alongside which can be seen a rotating display of original historic artifacts.
All pieces are fashioned on site in the workshops next door to the Gallery, using traditional goldsmithing techniques. Specialising in mixed metal contrast, chasing is also uniquely employed to create contrasting surface textures. The Gallery also offers a fine range of high quality crafts and art bronzes. In 2003 The Moffatt Family established a publishing house, Rocking Boat Press. |
